R.I.P. the Illest Villain, Hip Hop's Hero,
Daniel Dumile, MF DOOM.

Though I always wanted to do a DOOM project, this was sadly spurred on by his passing in Oct. 2020.

This project is a tribute to MF DOOM, centered off his two critically-acclaimed albums, "Operation: Doomsday" and "MM...FOOD?".

16 tracks, all made off of my SP-404SX and SP-555, sampled entirely from Anita Baker's extensive catalogue.

MF DOOM was a huge fan of Baker, and sampled her work repeatedly; I grew up listening to and loving her music, and my first forays into hip hop were recognizing and enjoying DOOM's flips of Baker's work...you get the picture.

It's gritty, it's imperfect, and lovable all the same; much like DOOM's work. Def something for everyone, though you'll have to forgive the handful of unavoidable imperfections here and there...
